Abstract:
To ensure safety more reliably even if a large-scale storage battery system is constructed.SOLUTION: A battery module of a storage battery system of an embodiment includes a plurality of over-temperature and overvoltage detection units for detecting over-temperature or overvoltage of battery cells independently of each other. Each over-temperature and overvoltage detection unit performs operation performed when the over-temperature or overvoltage of a battery cell is detected if it is notified that another over-temperature and overvoltage detection unit included in the battery module or any over-temperature and overvoltage detection unit daisy-chain connected has detected over-temperature or overvoltage of a battery cell. The over-temperature and overvoltage detection unit outputs a pulse signal of a different frequency for each over-temperature and overvoltage detection unit when no over-temperature or overvoltage of any battery cell is detected, and stops the output of the pulse signal of the different frequency when over-temperature or overvoltage of any battery cell is detected. A safety monitoring unit outputs the pulse signal of the different frequency to the battery module after it becomes a cut-off state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
