The storage box includes a collapsible box body 1 and a cushioning material for cushioning the fragile articles stored in the box body 1 against the shock during transportation. The cushioning material is formed of a foamed plastic in a mat form, and consists of a base cushioning material 2 to be placed on the base 1c of the box body 1 and a top cushioning material 3 formed to be a bag with fine plastic particles incorporated to be put over the fragile articles stored in the box body 1.
