A plurality of cold air discharge ports communicating with a cold air distribution passages are provided at a back wall of the article containing chamber. A shelf has a flat plate-like state and a hollow passage for passing the cold air from the discharge ports. The shelf further has a guide side projected to the distribution passages to guide the cold air to the hollow passage at a rear end, a cold air outlet opened down and a wind direction side for deciding a flowing-out direction of the cold air flowing out from the outlet at a front end. In this case, a size of the outlet of each shelf and an angle of the wind direction side are suitably decided in response to the shelf position.
