PURPOSE: To discharge air, etc., which contains noxious gases or bacteria from a storage chamber, and prevent the quality decrease of a store object from happening by a method wherein an indirect temperature operation is performed, and the temperature variation of the storage chamber is suppressed by switching the operation to a ventilating temperature adjusting operation when necessary.

CONSTITUTION: A storage chamber is equipped with a ventilating space 21 having a double structure constituted of an external wall 2 and internal wall 10. On the external wall 2, an inner air discharging port 13 and outer air intake port 14 are attached, and the ventilation of air for the ventilating space 21 between the external and internal walls is performed. Also, on the internal wall 10, an air feeding vent port 6 and air discharging vent port 7 are attached, and the air in the storage chamber 20 is made to enter or go out. In the ventilating space 21, a temperature adjusting means 22 and fan 39 are provided, and the temperature of the ventilating space 21 is adjusted by the temperature adjusting means 22, and when necessary, a cooling unit 24 is operated. Also, in response to the outside temperature, the inner air discharging port 13 and outer air intake port 14 are opened or closed. Also, when a noxious gas is generated in the storage chamber 20, the air discharging vent ports 7 are opened all at once, the noxious gas is discharged from the inner air discharging port 13. By this method, a stored object in the storage chamber 20 is safely stored at a specified temperature.
