Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a storage container for contact lenses so that contact lenses can be always stored in a clean state without producing mold or slimy matter on screws.
CONSTITUTION: A powder of an inorg. material which gradually elutes ions having antimicrobial property is dispersed in the resin cap 3 of a storage container 1 to store contact lenses. As for the inorg. powder, soluble glass containing zinc ion is preferably used. By antimicrobial and antimold effects of zinc ion, production of mold or slimy matter on screws 2, 5 can be prevented.
