To provide a storage container for a surgical suture needle, for surely holding the needle by preventing the needle from being dislocated and turned due to vibration of the container, and easily taking out the needle.
The storing container 1 for the surgical suture needle is provided with a needle holder 3 in which the surgical suture needle 7 is held in at least one storing part 5, 6 provided in a flat base plate 4 by a plurality of holding parts. At least one 12, 17 of a plurality of holding parts of the needle holder is provided with an upward opened recessed part 12a, 17a for storing the part to be held of the needle 7, and a pair of visor parts 12b, 17b projected opposite to each other on the upper edge parts of the recessed parts 12a, 17a and having flexibility. The space between the tips of the visor parts is set to forcibly pass the held part of the needle while it is smaller than the thickness of the needle 7. The lower surfaces of the respective visor parts 12b, 17b are provided with a projection 20 for regulating the horizontal movement of the needle 7.
