To provide a storage control system by which data can be backed up from a primary storage to a backup device quickly and data of the primary storage can be backed up to the backup device without using a backup server.

The storage control system has: a storage device having a data volume in which data to be exchanged with a host device are stored, a duplicate volume of the data volume and a difference data volume constituted independently of the data volume in which difference data to the data volume are stored and the backup device having a backup volume in which backup data between the duplicate volume and the difference data volume are stored and wherein the host device has a backup control module which recognizes the difference data volume of the storage device distinctly from the data volume to back up the difference data volume to the backup volume.
