Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of a storage device for an automobile collision testing dummy without changing the shape of the neck, lumbar vertebra and buttocks of the dummy stored for a long time.
SOLUTION: A storage device is basically formed with a chair type frame 1. Threaded L-shape fittings 2, 3 are mounted on the frame 1 to support both sides of a dummy 6. The waist of the dummy 6 is supported by inserting fittings 8, 9 therein. Both planta pedises are put on the bar 12 of the frame 1. The top of the head is supported by a fitting 13 inserted in the upper part of the frame 1. By removing the fitting 13, work for assembling a sensor into an occipital region is easily done. The frame 1 at a dorsum part is open to allow easy work for assembling the sensor through the back as it is without replacing it to a working table. Disassembling/assembling work can be done as it is without replacing it onto the working table.
