To provide a storage device and a control method of the storage device in which, when any abnormality to be propagated to a data receiving side CM occurs, operation of the data receiving side CM is continued and a state where abnormal data are left written in a memory is avoided.

A data transmission section 23 transmits data stored in a memory 25 to a CM 1. A failure detection section 21 detects a failure in a PCIe bridge 24 and retransmits data in which the abnormality occurs. A data write section 13 then acquires the data transmitted by the data transmission section 23 and writes the data into a memory 15. A failure detection section 11 detects a failure in a PCIe bridge 14 and the data write section 13 and determines whether the detected failure is caused by the data transmission section 23. If the occurring failure is caused by the data transmission section 23, a control section 12 controls the data write section 13 and the PCIe bridge 14 so as to receive retransmitted data.
