Title:
STORAGE INSTALLATION FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE REDUCED IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP56158806
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make separate installation of a reducing furnace and a briquette machine possible by forming a container which carries reduced iron from the reducing furnace to a reduced iron storage tank invertably.

CONSTITUTION: Reduced iron is put into a container 1 through a supply and discharge part 1a, and a French window type valve 6 is closed. The container 1 is inverted and its leg poles 2 are placed on a cradle 3. The container 1 is transported and is placed onto a storage tank 13. The weight of the container 1 is detected by a weighing device 4, and a damper type sealing valve 15 is opened. The valve 6 is opened to charge the reduced iron into the tank 13 by separating clusters with a grizzly 8. When the container 1 is emptied, the device 4 closes the sealing valve 15. A hatch 11 is opened by a cylinder 11a, thereby discharging the clusters. Thence, the valve 6 is closed and the container 1 is moved. Since the container 1 is held shut off from the outside by an annular channel 7, the reduced iron is charged in the state completely isolated from the atmosphere, into the tank 13.
