Abstract:
To simplify and facilitate storage management in the case of providing a plurality of storages.
A virtual storage KS specifies the respective subordinate storages S1-S2 by IP addresses and unitarily manages the residual capacity ZS of the respective storages and recorded file data. Then, in receiving a command such as a file write request from a computer C1, the virtual storage KS selects the storage to be the write object on the basis of unitarily managed virtual storage data, and writes a write object file 1 to the selected storage S2.
