To provide a storage portion structure for an ashes container, which can prevent an accident such as toppling thereof caused not only by vibrations of an earthquake but also by small vibrations, and therefore positively prevents irreparable situations for the bereaved, such as destruction of a cinerary urn to scatter the ashes, to thereby drastically improve the reliability and quality in storage of the cinerary urn.

The storage portion structure of the ashes container consists of a storage device for storing the container containing ashes therein, a conveying device for conveying the container between a container storing location and a predetermined location, and a control device for controlling the operation of the conveying device. Then, the storing device is rigidly engaged with ends of vibration absorbing members formed of elastic means, at a plurality of locations of the storing device, and the other ends of the vibration absorbing members strongly engage with a building to absorb vibrations.
