Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage rapidly storing information to be stored related to a storage moving the information to an alternate area when a defect sector occurs.
SOLUTION: When an error En occurs while the information is written on the sector in a zone ZN (step S2-1), whether or not an alternate processing condition to the zone ZN is satisfied is judged based on the information stored in a defect control part (step S2-2), and when the alternate processing condition is satisfied, the information is written in the alternate area An provided in the zone ZN (step S2-3), and when the alternate processing condition isn't satisfied, the information is written in the alternate area An+1 of the zone Z(N+1) (step S2-4).
