Abstract:
To move data between storage systems during an alteration preventing period, while preventing alteration such as rewriting or erasing.
A data movement management system copies the data from the logical device of a movement source storage system to the logical device of a movement destination storage system (S401) and sets alteration prevention in the movement destination logical device (S403). Then the data movement management system acquires an alteration preventing situation report from the movement destination storage system (S405) and releases the alteration preventing setting of the logical device in the movement source storage system when the movement without the alteration of the data is confirmed (S407).
