Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the safe transfer of electromagnetic energy by obtaining a commutation margin angle of each thyristor valve of a transfer thyristor bridge and controlling the gate pulse signal of a load thyristor bridge and the commutation capacitor capacity. CONSTITUTION:In a transfer mode an energizing thyristor bridge 2 is switched to a bypass pair operation from a forward conversion operation while giving an adverse conversion operation to a transfer thyristor bridge 3. Then a load thyristor bridge 9 has a forward conversion operation. Thus a load coil 10 is energized. Then each thyristor valve voltage of the bridge 3 is detected by a voltage measuring device 11, and a commutation margin angle is measured. When this margin angle is set within the limit value, the margin angle shortage signal is applied to a switch operating circuit 12 and an adder circuit 13. Thus switches 5 and 6 of the circuit 12 are operated to control the commutation volume capacitor capacity at a proper level. While the circuit 13 gives an output control signal to a gate pulse controller 17 when the margin angle shortage signal is supplied. Thus the electromagnetic energy can be transferred with high stability.
