Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage water heater that enables reduction in frequency of temperature control when a COP is improved.SOLUTION: A storage water heater 100 includes: a tank 1 to which low temperature water is supplied from a water supply source; a heat pump unit 2 for heating water from a lower portion of the tank 1 in a heat pump method and then returning the water into the tank 1; and a heat exchange unit 3 for exchanging heat between high temperature water from an upper portion of the tank 1 and bath water and then returning the high temperature water into the tank 1 via an intermediate portion of the tank 1. Hot water within the tank 1 is supplied to outside. The storage water heater 100 further includes a mixing unit 4 for mixing fluid which comprises at least one of the low temperature water from the water supply source and the high temperature water from the upper portion of the tank 1 with the hot water from the intermediate portion of the tank 1. The mixing by the mixing unit 4 is performed once on the basis of a temperature of the hot water from the intermediate portion, and the hot water stored in the tank 1 is supplied to outside from the mixing unit 4.
