The store front download system comprises an administration server provided with an information database for recording required electronic information and store terminals that are connected with the administration server through a dedicated communication network and are installed in individual stores. The administration server occasionally replaces electronic information recorded in the store terminals through the dedicated communication network with new electronic information retrieved from the information database. The store terminal communicates with the portable terminal of a user using wireless local data communication utilizing infrared rays or radio, and, in response to the user's request to download electronic information, records the corresponding electronic information in the portable terminal of the user or replaces existing electronic information with the requested electronic information.
