To promote sales of merchandise by directly providing a customer in a store with merchandise sales information in real time and by delivering the sales information for sales floors to customer terminals in real time for attracting customers outside the store.

A store information providing system includes: a sales floor terminal installed in a sales floor in a store, an information delivery server communicatively connected to the sales floor terminal and transmitting/receiving email to/from customers' customer terminals, and a storage means for storing email addresses of the customer terminals. In response to the input of merchandise sales information, the sales floor terminal sends the merchandise sales information to the information delivery server and updates a merchandise sales information display on a display means to the input merchandise sales information. On receiving the merchandise sales information from the sales floor terminal, the information delivery server retrieves the email addresses of the customer terminals from the storage means and sends email containing the merchandise sales information.
