Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition suitable for stretched film for packing perishable foods, having excellent self-tack, slipperiness, etc., by blending a straight-chain low-density polyethylene resin with a specific amount of an ester of a polyglycerol and 8-22C long-chain fatty acid.
CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. straight-chain low-density polyethylene resin having <0.920 density polymerized by solution polymerization is blended with (A) 0.5-5 pts.wt. ester of (i) a polyglycerol having 2-10 average degree of polymerization and (ii) 8-22C longchain fatty acid and (B) 0.5-5 pts.wt. one or more of (iii) an ester of glycerol and 8-22C long-chain fatty acid, (iv) a compound of the formula (R is 8-22C aliphatic hydrocarbon or acyl) and (V) an adduct of 12-18C long-chain aliphatic alcohol or its adduct with 1-20mols ethylene oxide with the proviso that the amount of the component A added is 20wt.% larger than that of the component B.
