To provide a safe execution technique, a method for maintaining the state of a hair set for a long period of time, and an ultrasonic combing device to be used for the method to protect hair by speeding up the penetration of a permanent agent into the hair by ultrasonic combing without heating the hair to a high temperature.
At the time of continuously executing a preliminary treatment to remove substances which interfere with the actions of first and second permanent agents of gel-like viscosity, a first permanent treatment to speed up the penetration of the first permanent agent into hair and side-chain cutting by the penetration, a second permanent treatment to be performed after the removal of moisture content for speeding up the recoupling of side chains, and a subsequent treatment for restoring hair, ultrasonic combing is performed by a comb body 5 for oscillation which oscillates at frequencies selected from 20-200 kHz after applying the first and second permanent agents of gel-like viscosity to hair in this method, and the ultrasonic oscillations at 20-200 kHz are converted into mechanical oscillations by a bolted Langevin transducer 2 and transmitted to the comb body 5 via a connecting part 4 for fixing a comb provided with a horn 3 and a comb sandwiching and fixing part 41.
