PURPOSE: To reduce the load acting on the edge of a slide bearing by providing both slide bearings put outside a guide axis on a movable device and arranging it as it is deviated in the sliding direction in a device supported so that the movable device can slide along the guide axis.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 19 is operated to a neck part 14a of a spindle 14 put outside the axial end 13a of each rolling roll 13 through a coupling part to be engaged with right and left locking pawls 18. Under such a state, right and left movable brackets 16 are synchronized to draw the spindle 14 from the axial end 13a of the rolling roll 13. While this spindle 14 is drawn, a force inclining a movable frame 5 acts in the surface in the drawing direction to apply angular moment M to a base plate 5a. Since the movable frame 5 is supported by a straight slide guide device 6 in spite of operation of this angular moment M, the load acting on the edges A of slide bearings 12a, 12b are reduced drastically. Consequently, the slide guide of the slide bearings 12a, 12b and the drawing operation can be carried out smoothly.
