To provide a straightening method of a casting, capable of easily and accurately straightening distortion or deformation of the casting and surely obtaining the casting with excellent dimension accuracy by imparting straightening force after taking out the casting from a mold with a simple configuration.
A casting W taken out from dies 1 and 2 after molding is completed is set between an upper die 11 and a lower die 12 of a straightening press 10 in the state before temperature is lowered to room temperature, and to the casting W to be deformed by temperature irregularities, the upper die 11 and the lower die 12 are gradually and relatively brought close roughly in synchronism with thermal contraction of the casting W until the temperature lowers from prescribed temperature almost to the room temperature, pressurization is performed between the upper die 11 and the lower die 12, and straightening force is continuously imparted.
