Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a straightening method for a round wire rod and device therefor which can reduce equipment cost and in which work is simple.
CONSTITUTION: One block 1 having a roughed face 1a and an other block 2 having a roughed face 2a are separated so that a round wire rod W before straightening can be inserted, the round wire rod W before straightening is inserted from one end side of both blocks 1, 2 in the void arrow mark B direction. Successively, one side block 1 is moved by applying pressing force in the direction shown by a void arrow mark A, while sandwiching it between the roughed face 1a and roughed face 2a of other block 2, one side block 1 is slid in the arrow mark C direction. As a result, friction force is generated at the abutting part between the round wire rod W1 before straightening and both roughed faces 1a, 2a, the wire rod W1 is rolled in the same arrow mark direction as the sliding direction of block 1, the deformed part is repeatedly sandwiched between both roughed faces 1a, 2a so as to be straightened.
