To provide a straightening apparatus and a straightening method having the excellent cooling performance, and capable of adequately keeping the distance between a weld part and a heating part and of reducing the size and the weight of the apparatus.
The straightening apparatus comprises: a heating unit 1 having a heating coil 1a for generating a heat source and a magnetic body 1b arranged in the heating coil 1a; a transformer unit 2 for generating the high frequency magnetic flux in the heating coil 1a; a cooling flow passage 3 for ejecting a cooling fluid to an object part X to be heated; and a guide wall 4 which surrounds the outer periphery of the heating unit 1 and forms a cooling space C between the heating unit 1 and the object part X. The cooling flow passage 3 is arranged inside the guide wall 4, and the guide wall 4 has a plurality of opening parts 4a for discharging the cooling fluid therefrom.
