Abstract:
To provide a wave gear speed reducer in which control for holding a phase is facilitated by reducing an influence of an external force from an output shaft side.SOLUTION: The wave gear speed reducer comprises: a rigid inner gear 27 having a plurality of teeth at an inner circumferential surface; a flexible outer gear 36 having a plurality of teeth at an outer circumferential surface, and arranged inside the rigid inner gear 27; a wave generator 37 having an elliptical outer circumference, arranged inside the flexible outer gear 36, and holding the flexible outer gear 36 in an elliptical shape; a rolling bearing 372 allowing for the relative rotation of the flexible outer gear 36 and the wave generator 37; and an output shaft 11 connected to the flexible outer gear 36. When R denotes an average radius of the flexible outer gear 36, and δ denotes a difference between a long axis radius of an outer ring outer circumference and the average radius, a thickness t of an outer ring of the rolling bearing satisfies the following relationship.
