To provide a strainer element cleaning tool which simply, safely and surely removing iron rust sludge in a system handling particularly organic solvents, substances like sulfide with possibility of oxidation heat generation, hazardous substances like heavy tars of organic substances, or substances difficult to remove.

The cleaning tool is provide with following means A-C: a means A is a strainer element holding means capable of holding one or more strainer elements detached from a strainer unit at the same time, and consisting of an upper fixing part fixing an upper part of the strainer element and a lower fixing part fixing a lower part of the strainer element; a means B is a steam supply means removing solid matter of a high melting point or hardly soluble solid matter; a means C is a nitrogen gas supply means safely removing the oxidation heat generating substance or fixed solid matter.
