PURPOSE: To make the strand former to have light weight, compactness, and good operativeness, by installing the vibratory motor to open and shut the passway of the strand, being constituted of the upper frame and the lower frame.
CONSTITUTION: The hooking lever 22 is turned down and is disengaged from the stopping shaft 24, and next, the hook 3 is disengaged from the pivot 4, and hereby, the upper frame 1 is separated from the lower frame 2. The open end equipped with the hooking lever 22, etc., is placed on the strand S, so as to direct its front head to the traveling direction of the strand s, and then, the strand S is inserted into the gap between the side press rollers 6, 6. After that, the lower frame 2 is laid under the upper frame 1, the hook 3 is engaged, and the hooking lever 22 is raised up. The vibratory motor 30 is started, and the upper frame 1 is turned upward and downward taking the pivot 4 as the fulcrum. The opening and shutting motion of the upper frame 1 and the lower frame 2 intermittently compresses the strand S by their rollers; the strand is formed into the shape of the passway formed by the press rollers at the final stage, and is discharged rearward.
