To provide a strap connector, strap mounting device, and buckle for a satchel which smoothly turn a shoulder strap and are easy to assemble, and to provide a method of producing the strap mounting device.

The strap connector includes a connecting device 12 of C-shape, and a protective tube 14 fitted around a strap locking portion (horizontal rod) 13 of the connecting device. The connecting device 12 includes the strap locking portion 13, right and left vertical rods 23 extending in the same direction from both ends of the strap locking portion, and supporting portions 19 extending from the ends of the vertical rods in a manner to oppose each other. The protective tube 14 is made of a synthetic resin, and formed with a longitudinal slit 26 for passing the vertical rod 23 of the connecting device therethrough. The strap mounting device 10 includes the connector and a cup-shaped body 11.
