To provide a gas type strap fastening tool using two gas type motors.
The gas type strap fastening tool which applies tension to a strap round a load, attaches the strap to itself, and cuts the feeding end of the strap comprises: a piston 42; a welding motor 20 movably connected to the piston 42; and a vibratory welding component 40 which is in contact with the strap and movably connected to the piston in order to attach the strap to itself. A tension motor 16 is designed so as to rotate in one direction only. A supply wheel 56 is movably connected to the tension motor 16 by a driving mechanism such that tension is applied to the strap before the strap is attached to itself. A power transmission mechanism 74 moves in cooperation with the driving mechanism. The power transmission mechanism 74 can be switched between a first state in which the power transmission mechanism 74 engages with the driving mechanism so as to permit only the unidirectional rotation of the driving mechanism and a second state in which the power transmission mechanism 74 permits the bidirectional rotation of the driving mechanism.
