A binding member consists of a covered cylindrical female body 1 having a hooking step edge 1A on its inner peripheral face and provided with a strap main body S on its top and a closed-end cylindrical male body 2 made of a plastic to be inserted and bound into this female body 1 and a through-hole for the string with a size through which a flexible, thin and tough ring string 3 can be passed and a lump 3A such as a knot formed on this string 3 can not be passed is provided on the bottom part 2A of this male body 2 and a peripheral face-slitted channel 5 and a peripheral face elastic piece 6 communicated with this hole 4 are provided on the male body 2 and the male body 2 with a ring string 3 the above described lump 3A of which is hooked on the top edge of the through-hole 4 for the string and which is guided out from this hole 4 is inserted into the above described female body 1 while it resists against the inherent elastic force of the elastic piece 6 and it is bent inward to hook the peripheral face elastic piece 6 of the above described male body on the above described hooking step edge 1A of the female body 1 by the returning elastic force of the elastic piece 6 and to thereby bind together the female body 1 and the male body 2.
