Abstract:
A strapping tool (2) includes an integral, removable cleaning element (24). The strapping tool (2) forms a seal between two portions of associated strapping material (S), which strapping material (S) is tensioned by a feed wheel (20) prior to forming the seal. The tool (2) includes a strapping machine body (6), a sub-assembly (4) operably coupled to the strapping machine body (6). A feed wheel (20) is carried by the sub-assembly (4) and is rotatable within the sub-assembly (4). A feed lever (22) is operably connected to the sub-assembly (4) and to the feed wheel (20) for rotating the feed wheel (20). A cleaning element (24) is supported by the sub-assembly (4) and is disposed for continuous contact with the rotating feed wheel (20).
