To provide a function for converting a transferring posture of assembled body, downsize an entire packaging system in size and enable a high-speed processing to be carried out in the case where a strapping is not required.
There are provided a transferring mechanism 11 for turning an assembled body holding part 25 for holding an assembled body 10 and transferring the assembled body 10 to a subsequent stage and a strapping mechanism 12 for strapping the assembled body 10 during the transferring operation. The strapping mechanism 12 feeds a band film into the assembled body holding part together with the assembled body 10 at a feeding point P1 and sealing both ends of the band film at a sealing point P2. Upon discrimination of a good or bad sealed state at an inspection point P3, only the good item is transferred to a delivering point P4 and transported out. Turning the assembled body within a horizontal plane enables the assembled body to be received under its lateral long state, transferred under a longitudinal long state and then its transferring posture to be changed. The transferring mechanism 11 and the strapping mechanism 12 are separately driven, only the transferring mechanism 11 is driven under a state in which the strapping mechanism 12 is kept stopped so as to be adapated for its high-speed operation.
