Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming distribution apparatus for effectively utilizing the effective band region of a network without data delays.
SOLUTION: A feedback packet transmitted from a client terminal 40 is received by a packet transmitting and receiving part 11, and an information holding part 12 extracts a receiving bit rate and the number of packet loss from the feedback packet. A rate information determining part 13 increases only the transmission bit rate, when the receiving bit rate is proper, and outputs it to the packet transmitting and receiving part 11 to distribute the data. Thereafter, the rate information determining part 13 determines a content bit rate, on the basis of the receiving bit rate and the number of the packet loss transmitted from the client terminal 40 and outputs it to a file selecting part 15 and a contents bit rate regulating part 16. Furthermore, the transmission bit rate is determined and outputted to the packet transmitting and receiving part 11 to distribute the data.
