Title:
STRECHABLE THIN WOVEN FABRIC HAVING RAISED FABRIC TOUCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04343739
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a stretchable woven fabric having excellent tearing strength, giving soft touch resembling a thin raised fabric and suitable for sports wear and casual wear.

CONSTITUTION: The objective stretchable thin woven fabric having raised fabric touch and a lateral elongation of ≥7% (preferably 1530%) is produced by using a multifilament spun-like finished yarn having a single fiber denier of ≤1.5 (preferably 0.1-1.0) as at least the weft of the fabric. The finished yarn is e.g. Taslan yarn, different shrinkage interlocked yarn, crimped yarn having multilayer structure formed by the different-feeding false-twisting, mixed and interlocked yarn having different elongations and crimped conjugate yarn splittable into ultrafine fibers and divided by a false-twisting process. The warp of the fabric is preferably a fiber having high stretchability, e.g. a core yarn having a polyurethane elastomer yarn as a core, a covering yarn or a crimped synthetic fiber yarn. The longitudinal elongation of the fabric is also set preferably to 15-30%.
