Abstract:

To reduce stress of the reverse of a spoke by installing a small roller instead of a cutting edge tool by the same machine, and increasing fatigue strength by pressurizing a high stress part such as the reverse of the spoke by the roller after machine work of the reverse of an aluminium wheel is completed.

A support bar 7 is installed on a support bar holder 8 by a nut 11 through a key to maintain the direction by arranging a spring between it and the support bar holder 8 in order to press a roller 4 against a work surface being a reverse rib surface 3 of an aluminium wheel 2 by proper force. The support bar holder 8 is also installed on a tool post of a lathe through a cutter installing metal fitting 12 similarly to a cutting tool of the lathe. When lathe turning of the reverse rib surface 3 by the lathe is completed, a pressing roller 4 is operated instead of the cutting tool by turning the tool post, and pressing rolling work is performed with a stable load.
