Title:
STRENGTHENING METHOD OF ON-SITE CONCRETE PILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59206518
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To strengthen on-site concrete piles by hardening soil particle layer on the tip of the concrete piles by using a heavy weight concrete of less than a specific water-cement ratio value as concrete for the tip of the pile.

CONSTITUTION: A heavy weight concrete of a water-cement ratio of 40% or less, preferably about 35%, is used. The concrete also has a higher specific gravity than that of usual concretes and is obtained by mixing cement with a heavy aggregate such as limonite, magnetite, etc. Also, the addition of a plasticizer (or water reducing agent) to cement enables one to obtain concrete piles having higher strength. The soil particle layer is hardened, the tip portion of the pile is strengthened, the bearing force of the tip portion is maintained, and the uneven settlement of a structure can thus be prevented.
