Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a decreasing method for a center hole stress of a high speed rotor capable of surely decreasing the stress of the surface layer of the center hole for the high speed rotor having a complicate structure such as a turbine rotor, and easily performing the reduction without inconvenience of structure, function and strength of portions and parts constituting the high speed rotor. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure fluid 4, which has a pressure not less than a yield stress of a high speed rotor material, is directly applied to a center hole 2 provided at the center portion of a high speed rotor 1 a long the rotor 1. The surface layer portion of the center hole 2 is plastic alloy deformed to generate a compressed residual stress on the surface layer portion in the circumferential direction of the center hole 2. Accordingly, the compressed residual stress can be surely, safety and easily generated on the center hole surface of the high speed rotor 1, so as to remarkably decrease the center hole stress of the high speed rotor which is generated while the rotor is rotated. Subsequently, the reliability of the high speed rotor 1 is significantly improved.
