Title:
STRETCH THREE-DIMENSIONAL WOVEN FABRIC AND CUSHIONING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004211275
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a new stretch three-dimensional woven fabric having a three-dimensional thickness, having such soft cushioning properties that impact is softly absorbed and mitigated while simultaneously having stretchability as the woven fabric, having a good fit, and excellent in air permeability and cushioning properties, and to provide a cushioning material.

This stretch three-dimensional woven fabric is so structured that many continuous void parts are formed parallel in the three-dimensional woven fabric, wherein each of the continuous void parts which are formed on at least one of surfaces of the three-dimensional woven fabric has such a cross-sectional area as to be approximately semicircular in a view transverse to the longitudinal direction of the void parts, and the three-dimensional woven fabric has a stress at 5% stretch of 10-150 N per width of 5 cm, when measured in the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the continuous void parts. The approximately semicircular areas of the void parts are each so structured that its arch part is formed out of curved filament yarn, and its base part is formed out of crimpness-developed polyester yarn which is given by developing the crimpness of a latent crimpness-developable polyester fiber.
