To obtain a stretchable cover which can be simply and detachably attached to a doorknob, a microphone or a telephone set with hygiene increased by adhering a material that gives the user pleasant feeling to a flexible fabric cylinder whose diameter is stretchable.

A flexible cylinder 10, for example, a cylindrical woven fabric which is freely stretchable in at least its caliber D and made of elastic yarns in at least a part of the weft, or a cylindrical knitted fabric formed by braid over braid or of foamed polyurethane is treated with at least one of a functional material giving pleasantness to the user, for example, an antistatic material 4, for example, carbon fiber or the like, an antimicrobial material, for example, silver, a deodorant such as flavonoid or an aromatic material such as microcapsules including an aroma component.
