Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly decorative stretchable small width woven fabric with a gather by weaving face and reverse woven fabrics at the same time with a needle loom for forming a large gather excellent in decorative property in the surface woven fabric and making difference in the weaving widths and structures, and yern usages in the surface ad reverse fabrics.
SOLUTION: This stretchable woven fabric with a gather is obtained by weaving with overlapping two surface and reverse woven fabrics having a wider or a narrower width of the surface woven fabric 2 than that of the reverse woven fabric 3, and closely linking them with a plurality of linking yarns 4 to form a one woven fabric. And a covering rubber yarn having a high elasticity is used in the part of the warp yarns of the reverse woven fabric 3 and a wooly yarn is used for the rest to impart a large stretchability in its longitudinal direction. Also, the surface woven fabric 2 is made to have a plain structure or a structure resembling thereto by using a thinner warp and weft yarns than those of the reverse woven fabric 3. The part of the plurality of linking yarns 4 closely link the surface fabric with reverse fabric densely at one local width directional position in the longitudinal direction, and the other linking yarns 4 closely link the fabrics coarsely at another local width directional position in the longitudinal direction.
