Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester main fiber having improved adhesive strength, and a fiber structure such as wet-laid nonwoven fabric and paper comprising the polyester main fiber.SOLUTION: (1) A drawn polyester main fiber comprises 0.1 to 10.0 mass% of a simple addition polymer of an unsaturated compound (a simple addition polymer preferably comprises a repeating unit having a bulky side chain and is more preferably a polymer constituting the acrylic resin) based on a mass of the polyester. (2) A fiber structure is formed by joining the drawn polyester main fiber with an undrawn polyester binder fiber. The fiber structure comprises the drawn polyester, in which the main fiber has a single fiber fineness of 10.0 dtex or less, preferably 0.01 to 8.0 dtex, and more preferably 0.2 dtex or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
