Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to efficiently produce a string protective material having good shock absorbability.
CONSTITUTION: The band part 14A of this string protective material 24 consists of an upper layer 26 and a lower layer 28 and a cylindrical part 12 is connected by the band part 14A. Strings 18 are inserted into inside holes 16 of the cylindrical part 12. The band part 14A is provided with spacings 30 so as to penetrate these spacings through the band part in its transverse direction. Viscoelastic members may be packed into the spacings 30. The upper layer 26 and the lower layer 28 are superposed on each other without adhesion. As a result, the impact applied on the strings at the time impact is efficiently absorbed to substantially prevent the transfer of the impact to a racket frame. Production is extremely easy.
