Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string shifting device 1 that eliminates the need to grasp string 15, prevents a positional shift of string 15, grasping failure due to variations, and also prevents an object 11 to be tied from being damaged when a member for grasping the string 15 is moved to grasp the string 15.
SOLUTION: The string shifting device 1 includes a first hand 21, a second hand 22, and a knot moving means 3. The first hand 21 is moved in advance to the position where the object 11 is to be tied with string 15. The string 15 is hooked round the first hand 21 and then a knot 13 is formed in the string. After tying the string, the second hand 22 is placed on the first hand 21 and thereby the string 15 hooked round the first hand 21 is held between them. Next, the knot moving means 3 is actuated to move the first and second hands 21 and 22 with the string 15 held between the first and second hands 21 and 22. This prevents a trouble caused by grasping the string 15.
