Abstract:
In a yarn winding machine, there is a pivoting section for the spindle with, on one side, a pivoting main arm with positively controlled rotation on a shaft and, on the other side, a second arm carrying the end section of the spindle. The other end section is connected by a flexible linkage to the main arm to allow for the movement of the second arm with low amplitude. There is a pneumatic unit with programmed pressure, to press the spindle against the drive cylinder mounted to the main arm and acting on the second arm. Design gives a compact unit, with low operating costs, which will wind the spool at a constant wound density, without damaging the wound yarn by excessive friction.
