Abstract:
PURPOSE: Not to generate strip breakage even in the case of meandering of tail part of rob stock in a continuous finishing mill of metal sheet.
CONSTITUTION: In a continuous finishing mill of a metal sheet 3, it is the strip breakage preventing method in which the tail part of rolled stock protruding from rolling line due to meandering is cut in the rolling direction by a cutting device 4 of a metal sheet 3 arranged at the inlet side of one more rolling stand 1. By this method, without a special sensor and control, strip breakage of the tail end of rolled stock, which occurs when the tail of rolled material leaves rolling stand, is prevented.
