Abstract:

To provide a stripping agent and a stripping method which have excellent strippability and anticorrosion effect to a component and permit reusing of the part after stripping the cured coating, with respect to solid lubricant type cured coating stuck to a component made of aluminum or aluminum alloy.

The stripping agent comprises: an amine type solvent; a monohydric alcohol type solvent and/or a dihydric alcohol type solvent; a phosphate type compound; and water, whereby the cured coating of solid lubricant type rigidly stuck to the component made of aluminum or aluminum alloy which can be used even in a severe environment under high temperature and high pressure can be stripped and removed and, moreover, the component can be returned to such a state as to permit the twice formation of cured coating without dissolving, discoloring or deteriorating the component.
