PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structural member made of an inexpensive raw material, manufacture of which can be made by a deformed roll wherein at least one intermediate web is extended between two hollowly deformed cross sectional chambers starting from a longitudinal seaming and connected with the inside of a metal plate part in a longitudinal side far apart from the longitudinal seaming.
SOLUTION: The intermediate web 3 divides both of the hollow, deformed cross sectional chambers 2a, 2b into practically the same dimension. With this division, as the intermediate web 3 gives an uniform support, a particularly high stability is generated. The intermediate web 3 starts from the longitudinal seam 4, and is welded inside of a longitudinal wall of the hollow deformed cross sectional chamber 2a at an end far from the longitudinal seam 4. Since the whole of structural member is formed by only one metal plate, the end of the intermediate web 3 is also the end of the metal plate. The other end of the metal plate is welded to the starting end of the intermediate web 3 being in a longitudinal side of the other end. Connection of the end of the intermediate web 3 and an inner wall of the hollow, deformed cross sectional chamber 2a is made by an edge bending portion 5.
