Abstract:
To provide a structural unit which is easy to manufacture and repair while maintaining operational reliability.
Each of a cylinder liner 11 and a crankcase 12 has one end surface 19; 18. A cooling water chamber 17 is formed between the cylinder liner 11 and the crank case 12 so as to be opened to the end surface 19; 18 while at least partially surrounding the cylinder liner. A retaining ring 20 is provided so as to fully cover the cooling water chamber 17 and to partially cover the end surface 19 of the cylinder liner 11.
