To provide a structure for attaching a permanent magnet to clothing, capable of attaching the magnet to the clothing, such as underwear or and every kind of an athletic supporter, which is directly contacted with the skin, while sustaining efficacy of the permanent magnet, so as to avoid an adverse effect of an organic compound contained in an adhesive, etc., on the human body, and to provide a method for attaching the same.

This structure for attaching the permanent magnet to the clothing and the method for attaching the magnet thereto comprise each positioning a planar attaching device 3 under a back surface of a ground fabric 2 of the clothing, arranging one of the permanent magnet 1 generating magnetism solely, or two or more of the permanent magnets 1 at suitable intervals, on prescribed positions of a front surface of the ground fabric 2 by utilizing mutual attracting action between the magnets themselves and magnetic bodies 4 inlaid in and fastened to prescribed positions of a front surface of the attaching device 3, surrounding and covering the permanent magnets 1 with protective sheets 6 of which the each has a fusible tape 5 of hot-melt type on its back surface, does not prevent the magnetism from transmitting through the sheet itself, and has a diameter larger than that of the permanent magnet 1, and pressing and heating the protective sheets 6 by a hot-pressing machine 7, so as to fasten permanent magnets 1 to the ground fabric 2 in a covered state.
