Abstract:
To reduce a cooling loss through mirror-like finishing of a wall face configuring a combustion chamber and to prevent an increase in unburnt fuel and aggravation of knock resistance due to a reduction in gas turbulence in a squish area.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine has: a combustion chamber 5 between a combustion chamber wall face 2 on a side of a cylinder head 1 and a crest face of a piston; an ignition plug 6 at an almost center of the combustion chamber 5 when seen in a direction of a cylinder shaft; and a squish area on a periphery section of the combustion chamber 5. Surfaces of an intake valve 7 and an exhaust valve 9 facing the combustion chamber 5 have mirror property with Ra of 0.3 or less. A surface of a squish area face 12 configuring the squish area has mirror property with Ra of 0.4 to 0.7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
